Last year, total worldwide production was 83,000 tonnes. Total consumption was 86,000 tonnes.

The new Chinese rebar standards will increase consumption by at least 15,000 and up to 17,000 tonnes, according to Largo.

In addition, estimates are that vanadium flow battery's will increase consumption by an additional 25,000-30,000 tonnes per year, by 2025.

Largo's vanadium has been qualified for use by many major vanadium battery producers.

There are no new major sources of vanadium coming online for the next several years. With the exception of Largo's expansion plan that is already underway.
