Thank you for writing to me to share your support for the "Cameron Gulbransen Kids and Cars Safety Act of 2005" (S.
1948). I appreciate hearing from you on this important transportation safety issue and welcome the opportunity to respond.

As you are probably aware, the "Cameron Gulbransen Kids and Cars Safety Act of 2005," introduced by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) would implement regulations to help reduce the occurrence of death and injury to children by vehicles.
Additionally, this bill would establish a child safety information program that would help educate consumers about child vehicle safety.

Currently, S. 1948 has been referred to the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, of which I am not a member. Please know that I will keep your comments in mind should this legislation come before the full Senate for a vote.
