Last Friday's volume was 1.3 million. Today 167 thousand with a low below 20 cents that was quickly met with a transaction.

Not exactly a liquid day.

There are what are known in the broker/dealer industry as "boutique" market making firms which specialize in negotiated transactions. For a fee they will act on a seller's behalf to liquidate large positions without causing a lot of panic selling.

A retail account could very well buy shares from a boutique market making firm working a particular stock on a particular day. That account would most likely pay the current asking price.

Sometimes, but not always, a negotiated trade, which could mean a series of trades, will be reported as a Form T trade moments after the close of trade.

Form T trades can be interpreted as indicative of market making activity selling a large position. This is not etched stone. There are other reasons a Form T trade is reported after the bell.

In 2017 the company reported a 50 million share increase. One should be mindful of the price collapse that year that began in March and continues to this day.

Up ahead is an eventual increase of 47.5 million shares. The officers will certainly enjoy their weekends at the condo overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
