Fannie, Freddie shareholder lawsuits also hold unintended consequences because the Fifth Circuit appeal now prevents Mel Watt from any release of the GSEs while his status as Director is kept in constitutional solitary confinement... a process that could take months to resolve, especially if DOJ attorneys request an en banc review to legitimize the remand ruling. That could add another year to the legal chicanery here.

I am somewhat astonished at all the articles, blog posts, tweets and message board entries that think this Collins ruling is some big victory for shareholders.
