July 19--Back to Wal Mart for a 6 qt enameled pot in the morning. In the afternoon, I made wild blackberry jam. I had enough for one 8 oz jar and another half full. I used pectin and one half cup sugar. After the jars cooled I could see the preserve had set. I will have to wait next season to pick more berries along the sidewalk on Parkwood Avenue.

I left the cell phone on the crate next to the chair. No pix of the jam, the Poblano peppers I brought home and no jar of red Jalapeno rings.

It was cloudy all day but no rain. Not even a threat.

Friday I make four 8 oz jars of blueberry jam from frozen berries. I measured out 3 cups. The Ball book says 2 and 2/3. What would be the difference? And 3 and one third cup sugar. What difference would 1/3 cup make? The recipe also calls for 2 tbsp of lemon juice so I bought a couple lemons.

I sterilized the jam in the big pot for 10 minutes according the instruction. The lid should make a dimple that doesn't pop up when depressed. If not, it's a good seal that will keep for months.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
