Wow- partially correct and incomplete information. If it were true exactly as that states, it means that OS is always maxed out for any company- and i know you can see how that would be impossible. if all shares were held nothing could trade and we would have mostly zero volume days.
you are forgetting about the float!! the float, presently 67m shares, are the not-as-yet sold or held portion of the OS.
Please - just call the darn TA or at very least call FRLF and ask to talk with the CFO. Do not base your investing on "investopedia" articles- many times they are only partially correct or written so briefly as to obscure the meaning. as in this case!
Math >> "issued shares held by investors" PLUS "float of shares not yet held by anyone" = total complete OS! in this case, that is 187m - 67m = 120m issued, but not all held, OS common shares
AS is NOT tradable ever. It is only a number. Company must create a class of shares from AS and file with SEC before issuance or increasing OS.
