DirectView Security Systems / Virtual Surveillance , subsidiaries of DirectView Holdings (DIRV), a publicly traded company and the leader in digital security systems, is hiring experienced field technicians in 4 locations at this time. This positions will be based in Dallas, TX - West Palm Beach, FL - Denver, CO and New York City, NY and includes the maintenance and servicing of existing Electronic Security Systems along with full installation. We are actively looking for technicians in all above locations.
The Security Installation Technician will operate independently and on a team and will perform the following duties:
Work on a vast array of CCTV, DVR, NVR, Access Control, and Alarm equipment
Knowledge of Axis, Dahua, HIK Vision, Milestone, and other mainstream manufacturers
Provide the services of scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, repair/replacement, equipment inventories, condition assessments, identification and/or validation of problems and deficiencies
Prepare data packages describing method of correction/repair
Repair or replacement of failed or failing systems and associated equipment
Management support
Project management
Development of preventative maintenance plans
Development of recommended spare parts lists
All other activities associated with operation, maintenance and repair
The position requires record keeping in support of maintenance activities to include service orders, maintenance logs, spare parts inventories, and status reporting. This position will be provided with conventional salary or per hour compensation (with overtime) as well as vehicle compensation and commission for self sales.
Job Requirements:
Candidates for the Security Installation Technician shall possess highly refined technical skills commensurate with providing electronic, electrical, and information technology support in the security arena of disciplines. Should have a demonstrated level of experience working in and providing field installations involving most if not all of the following: Instruction detection, electronic entry control, CCTV, data transmission systems, fiber systems, Ethernets, communications circuits, sensory devices, card reading and processing devices, smart cards, proximity cards, magnetic stripe cards, workstations, servers, power supplies, AC and DC power applications, uninterrupted power supplies, surge protection, and other electronic security systems hardware and software.
Security Installation Technician candidates will have an extremely high level of understanding and knowledge of Physical Access Control System designs, functionality, and inter-system workings. Candidates will have a deep comprehension of the intricate interfaces that are used in such systems and have the skills necessary to install, troubleshoot, and test systems for functional and operational compliance. Candidates must have a positive, self-starting attitude and have the ability to meet deadlines and stay on schedule. This position will include approximately 10% overnight travel.
Education Requirements:
Candidates should have an associate degree in electronics, engineering sciences, electrical engineering, military technical schools in the electronic/electrical fields, or technical school in electronics/electrical disciplines. In the absence of a degree or noted training, the individual shall have documented proof and proven track record of at least 3 years in on-the job hands-on installation, testing and maintenance of electronic security systems equipment, software, hardware and firmware.
