Ex date...record date, whatever. I got paid for the number of shares I had when the original dividend was supposed to get cut, not with the ones I bought after. So the list of names/# of shares on hand was somehow used to distribute the cash dividend. My point is that they got a hold of the list, not sure how that process works.
