Don't sell, let the cvr pay your stock account if it pays out, cuz there is no definitive laws on cvr settlements when paying taxes.



Kev- I don't understand your statement on CVR settlements. I get that the original holder of this security would have a cost basis of $0 but since I aquired my shares in the open market I need to pay the capital gains vs what I bought my shares at. Inversely if its a $0 that is my harvestable tax loss.
