In this instance about teetering on a tall ladder, I like your dad's advice about calling in people who are pros at their trade. I only wish I had heard that from you before I tiled the main bath floor. I didn't think of leveling the raised foundation subfloor which, of course, was sitting on warped floor joists. I have to take it up and redo it as a wavy tiled floor doesn't cut it.

I think that qualifies as a "teachable moment."
