Well I do find that hard to believe since short interest is posted here, there and everywhere on penny stocks (the SEC considers any stock under $5/share a penny stock). Etrade may have ulterior motives, as last I knew they were market makers. I remember talking to them about that same issue before...(love my Etrade account).

If I have some time, I will try to do more research. Sometimes it's hard to get a straight answer about certain stock market issues because we are the little people and must be kept in the dark about certain of their sneaky, dirty little secrets. lol..
