NOT trying to argue
Much of what Mark Smith does is way over my head. However, there is one pattern that he seems to repeat. He wants things to happen and he wants them to happen ASAP. IMHO he constantly reviews the schedule and in consultation with Sims and Honan looks at what the can do to accelerate things. For example:

Most companies would do enough drilling to fully quantify the deposit then proceed with an FS. As soon as Mark had enough deposit quantified to keep a mine operating for 30+ years he said enough of that, lets get started on the FS, we can do more drilling later.

Most companies would issue an FS then hire an Engineering company to do a 3rd party review. Mark hired one several months before the FS was complete. Because: He knew that was the next step and he wanted it started NOW.

Most companies would obtain financing and then hire an Engineer to do the design, and after that was done they would go out looking for a contractor. Mark hired Nordmin to start on the design of the critical path portions of the project well before he got the finance package. He wants to go out for bids right after he gets financing, not 6 months later.

The FS said drill dewatering wells and install 30 miles of pipe and then pump for a year and then sink the main shaft and then back bore the vent shaft. Mark said: gotta be a faster way. Voila:
Ground freezing instead of wells and pipe, no pumping for a year, sink main shaft and vent shaft at the same time.

There is a pattern to this. Are we bright enough to figure it out ahead of time? Uhhhh, Weeeeel, Not to worry Mark and Scott are!

Not quite the same pattern but still an innovative answer to a problem. There are very specific rules about what you can and cannot put in a PR. But, we need to get more exposure and tell our whole story to a bigger audience. Voila: Public testimony in front of Congress!
