So essentially the passage of the farm bill all rests upon the ability of the House and Senate (both Republican majority) to hammer out an agreement on work requirements for Food Stamps. That is all I keep reading about in almost every article I see including this one. That gives me even more of a positive feeling that once the House and Senate finally get to conference next week the negotiations will be swift to hammer out this one issue with the full understanding that the President desperately needs some good pub with farmers by the end of July to ease the suffering heading into the fall primaries. I realize it sounds as though both sides (House and Senate) seem pretty dug in at this point but they also all know 1000% the mission at hand is to keep control of the President being Republican and the House and Senate the same. They accomplish that or at least give themselves a much greater opportunity to accomplish that with a quick resolution to this seemingly singular disagreement within the 2 versions of the bill and get this passed for farmers. Great things are sooooo close!!
