Canopy Growth, partner Sunniva, Inc. has announced that they are spinning off Canadian assets into a separate new company. The article I read mentioned specifically the barriers that U.S. institutional buyers are having investing in companies owning both CAN and US assets. This sets up CGC well for an acquisition.
