Interesting....SA.....New Residential has a portfolio that should do great in a rising rate environment. New Residential has also expanded into unique areas of the mortgage lending space by obtaining RMBS and calamity calls. These bets have paid off so far. New Residential has also acquired deeply discounted loans that are complete trash and is attempting to resurrect them. New Residential has also partly succeeded in this strategy reviving 8% of these loans. This mREIT is a unique investment opportunity that offers an extremely high yield at about 11%. This yield comes with some risks, but right now the rising rates are pushing New Residential up and up.
