MIR....A thousand units is also pretty small, enough for maybe 20-30 planes based on 35-50 per plane.

If you think in terms of 10s of thousands, then the manufacturing costs would come down, thus the entire pricing structure.

The real plus is being first. They generally get a large share of the market, given a reasonable product, and it's very difficult to steal away share.

I don't envision any great difficulties in the group arrangement achieving lots of success.
