Sears Lays Off Workers at Corporate Headquarters -- Report

-- Sears Holdings Corp. (SHLD) has laid off about 200 workers, many of them at the company's corporate offices in Hoffman Estates, Ill., CNBC reported Wednesday.
-- The report said about 150 of the workers were employed in Hoffman Estates.
-- In May, the company said it planned to close 72 stores it has deemed unprofitable, and the company continues to struggle with falling sales. The retailer has reported sales declines for 26 quarters in a row.
