At ISC, an Intel guy claimed that XEON PHI has been hugely successful, which of coarse raised eyebrows and laughther ... Now, HPC may be a side story for Intel (and one where Nvidia is ruthlessly executing BTW), but that kind of statement is one of a marketing company. I DID love Intel for a VERY long time, for being an engineering company that was driven by visionaries who believed that only the paranoid survive; now Intel might be politically correct, and in my part of the world (that is ruled by Merkel and her running boys) I do have enough of that BS
