Equation #7 in that link I posted earlier shows that at a flow rate of 352 GPM and a pressure of 50 psi (converted to 115' of head) ignoring frictional losses and assuming 100% efficiency the test setup could generate 10.23 hp or 7.6KW. Therefore 4 slices could produce about 40hp or 30KW so it seems to me that they could not reduce the input pressure unless they increased the flow.
Blockman, was the input to this system the 3", 5" or 6" pipe? Notice that does not enter into this equation.
This isn't my direct field of knowledge but those numbers sound about right to me. I'll try thier engineer tomorrow and ask more about the applications.
