I doubt that you talked to anyone. Don't matter if you did or not. But it goes to show how much you and/or your friend really knows about growing chickens. The growers don't have anything to do with buying the feed. That is supplied by whatever company the growers have a contract with. Examples:
Tyson Foods Inc., Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., Sanderson Farms Inc., Perdue Farms Inc. and Koch Foods Inc. They would make the determination.
