Enderle wrote last January that Pat Gelsinger is the one CEO who could save Intel. This was before Krzanich did whatever he did to get himself fired.

I tend to agree. Gelsinger is a great technologist who could hopefully get Intel’s process mojo back on track (as well as design excellence).

Even more important to Intel’s future, Gelsinger knows Intel Values. Values which no longer visibly exist any more. He worked at Andy Grove’s right hand watching ASG instill these values in a relatively small Intel back in the day.

Meritocracy. Ownership and responsibility for outcomes. Mission driven with Intel passion. Ownership of a problem until/unless proper ownership is ascertained. Could I dream big and state, “Great Place To Work”?? OK, OK, maybe that is a bridge too far. smile

Unless it is already too late. Unless there is no institutional memory left in the Board of Directors.

Come on, Intel BOD. Man up! Make Gelsinger an offer he cannot refuse!
