I watch Download #s and Troll social media. There are >100s Munzee groups world wide out there and have active posts occurring. A lot of those groups closing in on 5k followers. I also track the numbers of followers movement. But don't take my work for it, Hop on IG, Twitter, Snapchat, FB etc and look for yourself!!! And not everyone uses those.

The Munzee community is very fragmented. And the game allows for that which is pretty neat. So in order to do your due diligence, you may want to dig in all of the cracks.
