the ex-dividend date is not even before the payment date


Is this a "trap" for people who wants an exit?

While the ex-dividend date is indeed set by the exchange, it occurs not before the record date, but after


SIAF sets the record date and then the exchange sets the ex date? I assume that SIAF can't set the record date until after getting green lights from SEC?
