I forgot maybe the biggest change, supermarkets putting in pharmacies. Then it works the other way with Walgreen's and CVS selling a lot of food in recent years.

Neighborhood pharmacies have been declining for 40 years. Almost extinct for the past 20 years except perhaps for Medicine Shops.

About 10 years ago I went into a small town pharmacy that still had a soda fountain. I used to drink a lot of malts when I was kid. Nothing better than when they served those along with the tin container of extra malt! Those cost 25 cents. Had a malt a few days ago, smaller and for $5.00
