2. A video upscaling technology.
The first one shows promise but maybe impractical because of encoding challenges. This is a video codec which would replace/compete with h.264, or Avi, etc.
The second one is being prioritized, and according to Tmmi they will soon be in a position to offer devices for sale with this technology (software) in them. This will allow the user to increase the scale (resolution) to 4K on a 4K TV using multiple input formats including h.264 and AVI which may soon become conventional.
