Interesting but I'd prefer this doesn't happen so we can grow on our own. More value I believe to just let Petar and SLJB work its magic.

(MENAFN) Emaar Industries and Investments (EII), a private equity firm 40 percent owned by Emaar Properties, said it is looking at several acquisition opportunities outside the UAE, Gulf News reported.

The company is also in negotiations with a Chinese group to set up an automobile-related plant in which it plans to invest $200 million.

The chief executive officer said EII is in talks with many companies, and added that two of its next deals will involve engineering companies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The year-old acquisition-focused group has five subsidiaries in the UAE and has a minor stake in furnishing and fittings firm DEPA.

The official said that the five subsidiaries have a market value of $163.4 million.

The official said that EII's acquisitions will focus on small and medium-scale businesses in building and construction materials, infrastructure related supplies, pharmaceuticals, engineering and metal works, energy and water, and fast moving consumer goods.
