Yeah, take my word for it...it gets easier, but even then there will be moments. I lost my mom in 2003. Aside from bottling things up, I handled it really well. Graduated school near the top of my class and never got into any criminal trouble. My brother on the other hand ended up moving out at 18 (got a court settlement after being hit by a truck on his moped) and burned up his entire settlement in under 2 years after getting hooked on alcohol and crack cocaine...and buying a lot of stupid infomercial stuff while stoned out of his mind on weed, lol. He's clean and sober now and has been for years, but he really took things hard and we never realized it because he wouldn't talk about it with any of us. My dad tried to self-medicate at the bar and he ended up with a DUI and in a shaky marriage down the road. He's good now too, but it took him years to realize what his problem was and fix it. We all cope differently so the important thing will be to ensure nobody is self-medicating with bad habits. Sudden deaths are even tougher than what we went through because you never have a chance to prepare yourselves. Don't let anyone feel like they're weak for considering meeting with a therapist.

When the kids get a little older, you'll have to teach them to read your charts. That'll consume every bit of their minds and when they start making money, it'll ensure they stay out of trouble too. You got this!
