I have read quite a bit about stocks not saying I know alot. But I have talked to Schwab and they told me that at least with them, individuals can not short penny stocks unless they were at one time a marginable stock so at least individuals can't. Would this be correct. One stock I have traded is Aurus now they did tell me that it could be as long as they had it in there portfolio because it had been a marginable stock at one time. I always hear about the Market Makers shorting the stock and I believe that they can do alot without the same restrictions as we investors have. So tell me if anyone can how they get away with shorting stocks that I thought could not be shorted. I am very confused on this can anyone help please! I do know that when its on a run that I have read that they will try to cover but we don't have that really hear it has not moved very much.
