Big news today rab. GE announced it is spinning off the medical unit into a separate company, and selling off the Baker Hughes unit. The medical unit will go to current GE shareholders, but the dividend in the remaining core GE industrial company will likely be reduced significantly without the revenue from the medical unit and Baker Hughes assets.
