Personally, I had not considered the event a 'layoff'. RNVA had just hired an entire new staff for South Fork in April 2017, and more than a year later it stands to reason they may not need every employee after things stabilize. Cutting 20 staff is within normal. If they had screwed up the place would have shut down, not just trim excess staff- which is actually prudent / healthy.

IMO the June 6th news while overall accurate, did it's media hype thing and branded it a "layoff" in the headline to get readers. The news also mentioned specifically that it was done for a normal reason and not a bad one.

there was no mention of shut down or anything remotely negative. that is all false hogwash made up on a free "topix" website and magically posted here by one person as some type of legit fact. It's a horrible thing to try and push false information on others, IMO

If one looks up all the other news and facts for the hospital- they are doing fine and the turn-around story is so far very impressive. That is the real story.
