Trading is trading, regardless of the market.

The price reaches a low and it attracts bottom feeders who figure the "weak hands" have all been wiped out and demand will, on balance, outnumber supply, resulting in a steady rise in price.

I should have included a long term chart.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
