I've owned this stock for a while and made good money on it by trading in and out. I know it has trouble holding it's gains but today was the worst pump and dump I have seen in the past three years I've had it on my radar. I currently own shares and didn't participate in this pump and dump. I am just wondering why it happened? I think the patent news was over hyped. Why, because it is not clear how this materially helps them in ways that their existing patents didn't already cover. Furthermore I don't think lack of patent protection is holding the stock down.

However the update and details about a fully US based testing plan plus an accelerated timeline is the best news I've heard since the JV. This was not fluff news. There weren't many details and the timelines are still a few years off, but there were enough details that I am convinced Halden is not needed at all. Furthermore the 2020-2021 timeline is in line with every other advanced nuclear technology coming to market right now. I am well aware LTBR has been around the block about a decade now but I am only judging them in the present. In short that was real news and should've resulted in higher prices. A big part of why the stock fell to 1 in the first place were jitters about Halden shutting down, with that resolved that part of the decline should've been erased.

I am not much of a conspiracy theorist but I don't know what else to think other than someone saw a chance to heavily manipulate the stock. Sure a 100% gain in a day might've been overkill but closing the day up only a few percent and now having fallen back to 1.03 (and lower in AH) genuinely makes NO sense to me given what's publicly available. I know this company very well and am not a wishful thinker. I know it's flaws and years of missed targets and hyperbole but I also know its possibilities and am comfortable with both. But I would like to understand how this happened? I mean if it was going to crash why not crash below 1? Why did it stop on a dime at 1.03? Why did none of the gains hold?

I didn't sell any because this pump took me off guard. When reading the news I thought some of the gain would hold. My larger plan is to hold at least til we learn more about the DOE grant later this year but I want to understand why ALL of the run from the big pump day vanished within a single trading session before I set my targets for a DOE run. Any insight?
