Actually means no trust... so it doesn't make sense.
If one "trusts" someone/something, verification is unnecessary... Unless....there is DOUBT, which equates to potential falsehood, which is a lack of trust. At that moment verification would clarify the matter. Blind trust is the term... it means a absolute trust. Over time one builds this foundation, but like a building it can come down hard unless fortified.
