Anyone interested in ACAN should be aware that Massachusetts is going to be the first eastern US state to adopt full adult use cannabis a week from Sunday. (July 1)
If it stays as planned the cannabis buyers will be coming in from all over the east coast to buy the first legal weed. This, along with the legality in Canada in October will be the story of the year in cannabis.
The problem is Massachusetts only has a handful of dispensaries that will be open and a limited quantity of cannabis products and cultivation and processing capacity.
There will be lines around the block, the highest prices in the industry and worldwide media coverage, IMO.
One company-ACAN-was smart enough to see this coming and has a 52 acre (20 football fields) of cannabis greenhouse and processing (their giant Massachusetts Medical Cannabis Center ) 47 Miles from Boston all designed, city and state approved and ready to build to help meet the insatiable demand that’s coming like a title wave.
All industry experts believe Massachusetts to be the hottest cannabis market in the US with sales expected to top $1 Billion by 2020 up 10x from the $100 Million expected this year.
Many other cultivation and processing
facilities will be planned and eventually built in the Commonwealth but it takes months and years to get these complex projects designed, approved and built.
ACAN has spent millions of dollars and three years getting this landmark project ready for this date and the shareholders are likely going to be very pleased management had the foresight to see this coming.
And remember the average cannabis stock —US and Canada—now sells with a market value of over $300 Million. ACAN has only 20 million shares and trades at a $65 Million market.
Looks like it will be an interesting summer for the cannabis industry, Massachusetts and for ACAN. IMO
