ALROSA Sale No.18 at $23M

RAPAPORT... ALROSA's 18th international auction of special sized diamonds (10 carats or more) began shortly after its 17th international auction on September 25, 2006. Sales for both No.17 and No.18, the sixth and seventh auctions to date for year 2006, came in at $23 million ALROSA reported.

Year to date 2006 special sized auction sales for ALROSA have totaled $191 million.

Rough diamonds on offer at sale No.18 included 114 boxes containing 794 diamonds and a total carat weight of more than 13,400cts. Fifteen diamonds were in excess of 50 carats each and the largest stone was 125.72 carats.

ALROSA sold 110 boxes at auction No.18.
