I have seen the bigger picture. No disrespect, but you must be young, inexperienced, immature and naive. Using mind altering drugs is never good. It can only lead to bigger problems. This is not about money or global economy. This is about leading a purposeful, meaningful, fulfilling life without having to lean on drugs to find the "fun" in life. And I do want to clarify I am totally on board with the legalization of medical marijuana if it is helpful in alleviating pain/symptoms of grave illnesses. And this is not about Canada or any other country "competing" with our economy and "winning." Walking around in a drugged state, no matter how much money is involved, is not winning. It is losing. Having recently visited Colorado, it was tragic witnessing half of our young people trekking around glassy-eyed and useless. There are so many other ways to find purpose, fulfillment and feel "good" about your life without pouring drugs into our bodies for a false and silly high. Get high on being a great person. It's cheaper and it lasts longer. And it makes you "feel" far better than becoming a zombie for a few hours. Have some pride in yourself. Wake up in the morning feeling like you actually made the world a little bit better of a place. Now there's a high that has no rival.
