New Food Vendor

The Travelers Championship brought on a new food vendor this year, Levy. The company works with about 30 other golf tournaments around the nation, too, and was quick to bring its own ideas and ingenuity to Cromwell.

The biggest change that fans will see (and likely love) is the concessions transitioning from a “belly-up” style to a “convenience store” style. In previous tournaments, fans would stand in one concession line, whether they were buying a single beer, or lunch for six people.

Now, the concessions will be more of a grab-and-go area, with five or six points of sale instead of one. Ideally, the new system will cut down on waiting in lines, and get fans back on the course quicker.

“When they walked us through the logistics of this, we were like ‘Oh man, the fans are going to love that.’ To kind of be able to grab-and-go or be able to get people out on the golf course quicker and not have to stand in line. We’re really excited about introducing that concept,” Grube said. “Based off the surveys and what fans wanted, I think they’re really going to like that.”
