Yes...we live in a fallen world...each new day here in the USA and world...wickedness and tragedy strikes many times. We live in a world where you start to think that it cant get much worse and guess what...it does. As for me...i dont read the newspaper or watch the news. Im not ignorant to what is going on in the USA and world...i just dont need the daily onslaught of the media telling me the same old stuff over and over trying to steal my joy! If you think about it. Pretty much the same ole stuff happens everyday...it just happens to different people in different places! And with the media...the juicier the story...the more horrific....the better! The problem is...there is something that far out weighs even what the media does! And ill tell you up front...it drives me crazy! Many folks including "christians"...have decided...i reckon...that they work for the satan gossip network. So many people talking about other people. Stories get turned around...lies get made up...people bash...hurt...destroy other peoples lives to some degree just to have something to talk about. There is much scripture concerning talking about others...GOSSIP. You can say what you want to try and justify it...you can dress it up...paint it...tie a ribbon around it but gossip is gossip and gossip is what...SIN! When we are tied into the "grape vine"...when we are offering a juicy bit of info about someone be it true or not. Even if we are just there soaking it all in. Do we forget that Jesus is standing right there and hearing our every word and seeing our every action? Think about it!
