I m running out of posts, but this warrants mentioning, back some years ago, the company was in desperate shape due in large part to the economy. Lee Hamre sold his house and put the money into the company to save it, to save his kids and other employees livelihoods, I do not know for sure to this date that he has been fully compensated for that. It has been my own suspicion, that there may have been some unusual book keeping measures during that period because of Lee's honest good faith sacrifice to save the company, any mistakes or procedures that may have been violated because of it, I for one am more than willing to overlook and give the man a pass for the sake of the greater good that was done. Mind you as far as I know there was no wrong doing, no evidence of any kind of financial crime or anything like that, it's just my guess.
