Your concerns are not unwarranted. Not saying this is the same exact situation but I was invested in YUMA and they had PRs about a new well being drilled and weeks go by and waiting to hear of the news on the well and then nothing... that is until the news of the quarter came out where they state that the well they spent all the money on to drill isn't producing to expectations and they are looking into strategic alternatives.

Full discloser I sold my position last week. I got burned once on YUMA not gonna get me twice.
