It depends how you see it Nowwhat2, Considering we are only at 0.1%-0.2% penetration, getting to over 10% (about 50-100 times increase) in about 20 years would be great. The projections I have seen indicate a 2 order of magnitude increase (100 times) penetration increase in the 2030s from current levels. This translates to an annual average increase between 20% and 30% for the next 20 years. Also, most of the predictions I have seen about lithium demand tend to underestimate actual demand, and I think we may see more of the same as people embrace EVs, costs decreases, etc. In addition, lithium is present in almost all battery mixes and I do not see a viable replacement for lithium for many decades. Yes, it is difficult to predict what will happen, but I think the future looks very bright for lithium. It is a game changer technology.
