That post regarding MMEX is 100% accurate.

A desalter is a critical, and necessary process element in any crude unit.

A CEO, like Mad J. who claims sector expertise, but somehow commissions and has permitted a topping unit that omits the desalter is 100% incompetent - at best.

More likely, a fraud - MMEX did not care about the viability of the topping unit design, it was simply a cheap prop in MMEX's share-selling scheme. Mad J. didn't figure that anyone would look closely at what he was up to, because share-selling schemes and con-men rely on naive investors, lack of knowledge, and shallow due diligence.

There are many other missing elements in the proposed Phase I rudimentary topping unit that will lead to significant down-time, poor operational efficiency, and inability to run in balance. A marginal undergraduate process engineering student could tear the permitted design apart in a single classroom review session..

That post is 100% miss leading for anyone dumb enough to believe anything you say. Not many around here that dumb so ya might as well put it to rest. MMEX is building a refinery on the Permian Basin... where all the oil is...
