I moved out of my old neighborhood "the hood" about 10 years ago, and I no longer carry any because it's not really an issue in my new neighborhood. Back in the old days I felt that the 15 foot spray was adequate for me back when I was in my forties. But I wish I had that bear spray back when we got attacked by those three pit bulls. I had to pick up my little dog and lay the wood myself to get them to back off.

But I would check your State and Local Laws to see what is legal to use on dogs.
