If the company is on the verge of a breakout, they may want some of the market share. But they cant buy without disclosing. Perhaps the 6 bil or so recently picked up was part of a strategic move working with a partner, getting noteholders out of the way and gaining some of their company back. Idk. That whole influx of trading seemed to be something planned. And I can only speculate.
