at a market cap of just 1B,(100% upwards from today's price) VKTX would be valued at just 20% of mdgl..comparing just the these 2 competing drugs. I have never seen anything like this, and I have owned dozens and dozens of bios over the last 30 years, too many to count, and they all have a comparitor drug. It is generally the less effective drug that takes the 50% haircut, not the more effective drug, based on evidence to date, that takes a 90%+ haircut.
