Well, the new Director has zero experience in either mining or real estate, the company has never turned a profit in 8-10 years, and it's stock performance has been miserable all that time, so perhaps people are thinking:

"Huh! This operation is not about building something that has value that can be sold or traded, but is much more interested in extracting money from people like me to pay its executives and Board high salaries, while frittering the remainder away on God knows what!"
