I saw SHORTBUS at the E Street Cinema in downtown Washington, DC last Friday evening. I was surprized to see in the openning credits two full screen shots of the QTN logo, in one the logo takes up the entire screen, in the other the logo is smaller.
In last Friday's Washington Blade newspaper there was a very good review of the film. It mentioned that major financing of the film came from "the now defunk Q Televison Network.
I just hope somehow the profits are protected and that the true owners of QTN get some of the profits. I was one of the ones who believed Frank Olson was an honest person with a vision to establish a gay TV network. I believe we were lied to by Mr. Olson on some very important issues. I believe he should be prosecuted for fraud, etc. and have his day in court.
I lost a great deal of money on this investment (I know i was gambling). As QTN got carriage on more and more cables and the programing developed i got to the point of seeing it as a sure success.
I watched LOgo the other night and enjoyed a program called, "By Request Music videos". I enjoyed it will return to see the show again. I thougt there was an inexpensive segment of programing.
I now just hope the profits from SHORTBUS somehow come to the shareholders not to the ones who messed everything up and cheated us.
