Here in the United States...depending on your age of course...but if you can think back just 40 or 50 years...not that long ago really...you can see the dramatic change in the goings on here within the United States and the now 319 million people that live here. Im 62....and i can think back to a day not so long ago that here in Greene County that most everyone went to church be they a christian or not. i can remember a day that pretty much everyone had a standard of living that was good and decent and again...be they saved or not. i dont think it a stretch of our imagination to also say that folks held close and dear to their hearts to morals and values and they looked out for each other and cared for each other and most everyone really did love their neighbor to some degree or the other. We did not lock the doors to our house and we left the keys in our cars and tractors and we piled our stuff in the barn and smokehouse without any thought to anyone actually stealing anything. And when we did hear of crime here in Greene county...that i remember...the majority of the time it really didnt amount to much. Yes...just 40 / 50 years have passed and as we know...the evil and wickedness of the United States has grown and traveled from east to west and north and south and we look at the daily goings on and we might think...What happened! Well...that actually is the easy question. "SIN"! Remember this has all happened once before that the world became so evil and wicked that God sent a flood to wipe the slate clean and start over with Noah and his seven family members. And...when we read scripture...Gods holy infallible word...we also find that those days will return to the earth and humans will once again travel down that road of destruction and again God will wipe the slate clean except this next time God will destroy everything and bring the madness of humans to a end. And the thing is...we know this...we have the warning of what is to come yet as humans...most humans...we continue living life our way doing what we want when we want...Sin...without giving second thought that the destruction of the heavens and earth are spelled out in Gods word if and when we continue down this path...so whats the answer...there is only one answer...Jesus....if we want to see a change in the USA and the world...its only going to happen thru the Gospel of Jesus Christ being spread around the world and people embracing that relationship with Jesus and seeing a change in human kind...thru Jesus!....as scripture tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14..."if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land"......im telling you folks...this is our only hope....Jesus!
