IMO, and for what its worth (not much) this seems to happen each Thurs. into Fri. as the day, swing, or whatever type of traders they are called, close the books for the previous week and make ready for the next.
I am guessing that one of these cycles is going to either cost these folks a bundle to get back in or they are going to have to pack it up and move on as the stock "picked it up and moved, violently up!"
