Certainly I have no idea what was really happening.

One moral of the story, however, is not to place a stop on your POLA shares -- not if you are a believer on the growth story that seems to be unfolding before our eyes.

Another lesson is that if you want more shares, sometimes you can get a fill by keeping a buy order open well below the best bid.
